Okuma Alarm-B 2705 Tailstock quill over advance
Over advance of the tailstock spindle(Alarm level of this alarm is alarm A if it occurs during execution of a main program*.)
Bit data status of I/O check NO.27 INPUT:
* Refer to Alarm A 1748 Tailstock spindle over advance.
1->The tailstock spindle has over advanced to actuate the over advance confirmation LS.
2->The tailstock spindle over-advanced tothe in-position LS was OFF.
3->In the case of NC tailstock spcification, the tailstock spindle over-advanced and the workpiece hold confirmation LS turned OFF.
Probable Faulty Locations
1)The mounted workpiece is shorter than the specified length. (Operation error)
2)The tailstock moved from a distant position and, therefore, hit the overtravel limit switch before reaching the workpiece.
3)The tailstock advance command was issued without mounting a workpiece. (Operation error)
Measures to Take
1)Re-position the tailstock closer to the workpiece, or adjust the dog position.
2)Designate the tailstock spindle advance command only after setting a workpiece in the chuck.
